| COMMERCIAL MOVING |
| Generally, office and commercial moves are bid on-site by a professional estimator. Some smaller moves can be bid over the phone based on hourly rates. Call for quote on commercial move. |
| LONG-DISTANCE MOVING |
| Generally, long-distance moves are bid on-site by a professional estimator. Some smaller, instrastate moves can be bid over the phone based on distance, weight, and access. Call for quote on long-distance move. |
| MINIMUM ITEM MOVING |
| Occasionally, a customer may only need to move a few items from one location to another. Depending on locations and/or access we will generally reduce the rate or the minimum time charge to a 1.5-hour minimum. |
GENERAL INFORMATION
In most cases, we have a 2-hour minimum job requirement. Piano only moves are bid at a 1.5-hour minimum. We will offer each referral customer from Shurgard a standard 3% discount off the job total. In addition, we offer senior discounts (over 60), repeat customer discounts, and military discounts. Normally, we will not exceed a 5% total discount.
Travel time is a large part of the moving industry. The state requires that moving companies charge reasonable travel time from portal - portal (shop - back to shop). At Bumble Bee Moving North, we are competitive with our travel time. Sales tax is not allowable on moving services.
Scheduling moving dates in advance becomes more critical at the end of each month. The most popular moving days are Saturdays, Fridays, and Mondays. If a customer needs to move at the end of the month or the first few days of the following month, we recommend 2-3 weeks advance notice. During the middle part of each month (6th through 24th), 1-2 weeks is usually sufficient. Last-minute bookings are possible, however spots are not as easy to reserve.
